The 5 Times You Know Beyoncé Is a Nigerian Lover

When Beyonce can't help but have intense love and attachment to African Culture.....this time mostly Nigerian culture.

Here are the five times queen Bey showed it
  1. Her 'The Carter Push Party where she and Jay Z looked like a Yoruba girl who fell in love with an Hausa boy. And the icing on cake was, the Late Fela's (baba 70) music playing in the background.
  2. It wasn't about Queen Bey's performance at the Grammy's but her outfit which looked a lot like Osun...yep the goddess of fertility....I swear Beyonce is Nigerian Smart. Called queen and what does she go for; a goddess themed outfit.
  3. Although not Nigerian referenced but African inspired. When Bey announced her pregnancy she said "I Have Three Hearts" which was quoted from a poem written by Somali-British Poet, Warsan Shire. The poem also mentioned Yemoja and Osun. Both Goddess of Water
  4. Remember that unforgettable moment queen Bey smashed a car's window....(the was looking like Ibadan/Abeokuta Taxi......but its just a reflection of the dress) from her 'Hold Up' video. Well its another Yemoja inspired outfit. FYI.....I grew up with Osun and Yemoja portrayed in All white outfit. #justFYI
  5. How can we forget our very Yoruba visual artist,Olaolu Senbanjo. Laolu Senbanjo once said his art was from a Yoruba religious practice called 'The Sacred Art of The Ori'. Ori in Yoruba means Head, Oriki means eulogy  to appease your soul, what is within you, your essence . Which is very common in Nigeria.
There you have it.....appreciate your name, culture and history of dieties. #usegoogle
