A Fathia Balogun Powerhouse

Torera is a princess who gave all her life and love to her ungrateful ,animal husband; despite all the love shown , he continue to maltreat her.
Faithia Balogun play a rich daughter of Ariwajoye (Adebayo Salami) and Ayoni (Yetunde Ogunsola) , she is respectful, humble, talk of town and a beauty to behold. So it was shocking to the rest of the world when Gbolagade ( Odunlade Adekola) a farmer from a neighboring town married her and treated her like he never begged for her love and affection, he treated her so bad that she couldn't swallow and breathe unless he says its okay and on occasion, a punching bag even though she tried everything in the book to make him happy.
All of this is set up behind close door, where no one sees the brutal violence Torera (Fathia Balogun) endures, emotional and complete power over her livelihood. The good thing about this movie is that its rated G; this is a movie every man and woman should see and know that its absolutely unacceptable to act like everything is okay when it isn't, hitting a woman for no reason or any reason.
Great cast (hands down), editing, location and costume were all great for each character, it is no news how talented and gifted Fathia Balogun is; she has countlessly provided epic movie scripts to her portfolio and Ola Torera is one of them. Odunlade Adekola gave a flawless, comic timing and continuously makes outstanding delivery, facial expressions and more.
A beautiful speech by uncharacteristised women as they talk about different reasons why women are not stupid but sacrifice alot to endure different hurdles in marriage especially a broken one. I get where they driving at but I personally do not agree with it; at least not this age and time.
However, the first part of the movie had so much power going for it, excitingly there was nothing to say about it. the concluding part however is what I have a problem with. A movie that started strong, 100 percent on point with how victims and perpertrators are; the group talk scene about how some marriage are, where Torera was called out for covering her abuse and finally the scene where "uncharacterised women', how they went on about how women are viewed in the society ....all leading to domestic violence awareness; only to end the movie with a supernatural fetish line. It took away credits from the movie and also shows not enough time was put to think the end. If the movie was going to end the way it did; why the group and uncharacterised women talk.
Overall, the movie was great, interesting and different to watch. It was a good intention that somehow got lost along the way but still have you glued to your sit to see how Torera eventually had peace.
