Mavin records has done it again…..first Don Jazzy blew up the social media up with the #DORO which went viral. In minutes of posting dorobucci’s hook on his Instagram page, no one’s post/pic/video mattered anymore if you are following Don Jazzy. It was flooded with fans around the world posting their version of the song till date. Even Tyra Banks hashtag the word #Doro while on vacation. I was looking forward to the video of this song since I saw the quick forty-seven video tease floating around and I finally saw the video. When I did, I was not disappointed one bit as I have watched the video almost 4 times this morning and this is my take on the video.




Let’s start with the baba himself:

Don Jazzy- he always blows my mind with his video concepts. I must confess I never liked the song until now, in fact I had a pic on my Instagram page @hawtdoux “SAY DORO ONE MORE TIME…and I will &#@( you up”. The only thing I liked about the DOROBUCCI was the way the word #DORO went viral minutes after Don Jazzy requested fans version on his hook, if you don’t know …social media went banana crazy as with Doro-everything

Now back to the Video, Don jazzy is a KING, period. His concept of showing the empire state building blew my mind. He is letting the world know that Mavin is an empire, his empire and that the song Dorobucci was all-round team effort. The board room meeting with staff dancing on their sit was all-round classy, FINISH. I am yet to see till date, Don Jazzy going wrong with videos he featured in. The golf concept from GIDI to DC is indicating that nothing will stop this crew till they get to the top….SALUTE!!!!

Reekado Banks: Mavin records love for cars is not a new thing ….this crew are balling. I like the diversity of girls dancing around Reekado and they synced well. Reekado was good and all-round A-game.

Tiwa Savage aka Queen of Mavin Records: I love this woman, her swag is always always on point….lets digress on Tiwa a little….the only time I didn’t see A-game with Tiwa was the 'wanted' video.I only felt the woman singing;not the video or the act, and I feel she did that video (wanted) because she wanted the world to know she could do what Rihanna pulled in her pour it up video and Beyoncé's numerous sultry video. Tiwa did that 'wanted' video for herself and not for the fans. She tried something different and it just didn’t work for me and it probably did for others.
In the dorobucci video however, she brought her customized Tiwa-swag, I mean Julia Roberts from pretty woman needs lesson from this babe. I would have loved to see more girls attending to her shopping needs,her goofiness from the Doro ‘Hot’ tea shows she knows what she is doing ....hands down, she killed it in this video. The world needs to know that this woman is not going to be in this game for a minute, right now she is running the show and if she continues like this…sky is her destination #notlimit…#dorofollowtiwa

Dr Sid: this man right here will never go wrong as long as I’m concern. Not only does he look humble in all the video he does, in this video this dude was showing his macho skills, pulling a girlfriend push up which  was just too cute, he is sure knacking with the right crew.

Korede Bello aka African Prince: I haven’t listened to any of his song but in this video he has that unique “my voice is dope” voice and you can hear talent in his intonation. I am going to watch out for more of this dude , but one thing I do know is that he will definitely catch many fishes with his voice..#doromegastarloading

DI’JA: she has never been on my radar till now, with her I get this Lil Kim meets Nicki Minaj vibe with her and especially with way she does her lip and deep expression on her face when said ‘let no body try dorobucci” and I love her 007 imitation, love her hair. I hope she will as awesome as lil Kim and Nicki Minaj is with all the frontin she has going on. If she continues to roll with the Mavin crew, she definitely has a reason to front.

D ’Prince: he was obviously enjoying his job and you can see that in the video, he sure was balling like a cheerful giver (drinks on him). This man is living by his lyrics, so continue flossing and causing wahala with your crew.

The final scene:
The sixty themed meet Gatsby kind of party was classic, the landscape, the deco, the caption of all Mavin crew doing their thing shows the crew have their individual talent. Don Jazzy at the top was God father meets Great Gatsby swag was on point. The entire crew wardrobe, the quality of the video, lights, editing was just SUPERB.
They let the world know through this video that Mavin Crew, are the baddest crew right now and if they continue like this…..best in Africa
