Oritse Femi- Double Wahala

There comes a time when I just hear a song with powerful, realistic, uncomplicated message with no booty emphasizing lyrics that I can relate to. Double Wahala by Oritse Femi is one of those songs. The not so new act dedicated the song to one of Africa's Music Legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

Lets Talk Review
Double Wahala is dedicated to Fela Anikulapo Kuti whom I personally call "the soothsayer',and clearly Oritse Femi showed his love for the legend through his dance steps and backup dancers as they will make you say thats so fela.

The message in the song is very relate-able to anyone who listen to/understand the lyrics, the hook of the song is very powerful:
Se bi enu ti aja fin ba ome re sere lon fi sha le gba
( the hand that soothes you is the same hand that bites you)
Esin to shi waju shebi oun na la fin jeoba
(the horse leads a pack is the king)
Ote (haters)
You dey there dey hate me
when I am hustling for my money
If i like i spend my money anyway i like it
ko de kan aye
(its none of your/world business)
The production, video quality was very safe; however, the director showed places mentioned in the hook as he sang in the chorus. I love the stage setting and I thought the mics, drum set and other musical instrument hanging above was cool. Although, the continuous shot of the private plane on the terminal was unnecessary, the director should have shown it once.
Overall, Oritse Femi has no doubt paid his tithe and you know what our elders say a child that washes his hands well; will definitely sit and eat with the big boyz(my remix). To all those who do not know or have not heard or seen Double Wahala click on the link below and enjoy.
