Lets Talk Review
Today I learnt few slangs I have never heard before from Sola kosoko Abina who played the lead role in the new movie waslat, the brilliant street thug and a potty mouth garage girl who lives her life like a man in a lagos motor park. The movie would have been a disaster waiting to happen if the thuggery character of waslat continued but the writer added few twist to the movie that made the film very interesting.
It centers around waslat family, how they struggle in the garage and on the street of Lagos to survive their poverty stricken life;her father is a Transporter (hahaha....watch to see the hilarious scene) and she is the daughter that supports her father with everything she has from being her father's conductor and mother to her siblings.
This movie is funny and really exciting to watch, the twist and ending of the movie is nothing short of shock for a nollywood/Yoruba movie The characters were great entertainers and a lot of plot twist. Sola Kosoko was almost unrecognizable with the role she took, she went from the girl next door i have been accustomed to, to Waslat the thug which was shocking to watch as she fights each of her opponent with her thuggery. The production was also good and if you want a good laugh and a very realistic and acceptable outcome, wosi kenke is what you should be watching (right now)
The only issue I have with nollywood movies is their lack of finding a suitable tittle for a movie; wosi kenke is one thousand movie with a great story line but stupid tittle. How in the world would anyone who isn't inquisitive (like yours truly) click on a movie tittled wosi kenke, mulika nkako; (a complete turn off).
Remember, karma is a you know what, so live your life and do unto others what you want other to do to you
So.....if you want a rib cracking and sensible movie....click on the video and enjoy this drama, suspense, romance and comedy filled movie.....wosi keneke
7/10
