Lets Talk Reviews
I have seen so many movies that are just a complete waste; waste of money, their time, my time, lack of content and so on. Its difficult to find something that just blow your mind. such is the movie COBWEB and before you think..... this must have been a great movie; be patient to see what I mean by GREAT JOB
The details in this movie is so inspiring, from young Sam (Olamide David) walking through the forest path to the bird chirping in the forest and to young Sam's performance as a child
who is consistently being picked on by his dad, to the victimized Jennifer at a young age and to the wardrobe of the mother and daughter. First lets talk about performances.
Fusho Adeolu (Akika) gave an outstanding performance in this movie as a man who is strict family man, he discipline is kids but has undying love for them.this dude just took me back memory lane, to the first time I saw him in the 90s soap Palace. His performance as a disgruntled father who wants nothing from his son except 24hrs,365 days to have an education cannot go unnoticed #performanceoflife. The way he handled sexual advances directed at his young daughter couldn't have been done better.
Young Sam is a wonderful actor who played his character to the teeth. Adult Sam (Uti Nwachukwu) failed to impress although the calm, gentle, cool headed Sam also continued with him as part of the role. Jessica
Furthermore, I have no issue with the pictures and location used in the movie, but I do have an issue with the poor sound effect, the movie started on a strong not with a promising line but fell short after forty five minutes, the story lines created began to fall apart. In addition, Sam's reaction to seeing his father was quite shocking. He might have deprived him of childhood fun, paid more attention to his "MALE" child but he provided, protected and was there for his family; so his ignorance shouldn't be used against him in fact I
consider Akika a hero that should be celebrated.
Overall, it was a nice movie to watch and could been better. I applaud the directing, location, attention to details and I love Funsho Adeolu's performance.
FYI...the movie is available on Ibaka.
