Shoki Vs Shoki

Kesh Shoki remix and Orezi (Shoki remix)

I was confused when I searched for Shoki on YouTube and I saw three auto fill results, Kesh, (original shoki, and  remix) and Orezi's Shoki.  I listened to the 3 and I still thought I was being punk'ed. I thought to myself , there has to be an explanation for this, maybe it was the same person. Kesh changed his name to Orezi or Orezi wanted a re brand and went by Kesh. In the end, they were two extremely different folks. Not weird or unseen in the world but unheard off in Africa, two artist with same tittle, almost same dance steps and more. And no it wasn’t a diss song or a reply to a diss song like hit em up(tupac and Biggie) on the contrary, both music video was quite entertaining with different artist.

Let's talk Review

Kesh YBNL produced

I saw the first part of the original Shoki, I like everything except the continuous ha shoki,ha shoki ha which I personally found infuriating. The remix which featured Davido and his HKN gang off course and Olaminde aka Kingbaddo.
The original and remix had the same bit, sound; Kesh still had the same verse and the song entirely was the same except for Davido and Olamide's verse which was good, I loved what Kingbaddo delivered even though I don't get chichi (meaning jack, nothing, understand) of what he was saying so fun taiye pe mo...ya da ya da
However, I still don't like the ha shoki ha shoki....  sounds like a contestant auditioning/performing for Nigerian idol without beats or sound. ha dance ha dance. Kesh should have used the color effect through out the video; letting the world know this is his zone, he's running D-show and the artist he featured are just passing by but without it, they all looked like extras singing along.
In conclusion, this is a nice song and good dance steps

Orezi  Sprisal Entertainment Produced

I love the beginning of the song, the beats, the setting especially the location, it was interesting to see the uncompleted looking building with light effects, good job to who ever was in charge. The high-life setting and wardrobe got me excited to see a clause with the entire package. I liked how everything synced, as he made reference and shout outs to fans around the world...awon temi ni London ijo shoki ni won jo ... and they showed the "awon" London people ( Kaffy and Harry song), the street crowd dancing, the little school girl, I would have loved it if he showed hawkers dancing to SHOKI and the crowd club-like scene dancing was good. I have always wanted a music video where uniformed officers try to do their job and still join the crowd in dancing and KC did that in Pullover and Orezi did it too and that just cracked me up. RAD concept!!!
Personally, the reporter messed up this video for me because, you are in Agege reporting LIVE about SHOKI  and you go voulez vous coucher avec moi  on us and the shirtless man and crowd behind you is screaming "ijo shoki la n gbo,en yin temi ijo shoki ni ke jo" (translation: I am dancing to SHOKI, my people dance to ijo SHOKI) in YORUBA.
Overall, it was an awesome concept and on point music video.

And Personally, I still don't know the step I will be dancing to this song when I hit the floor.
