Lets Talk Review
The two parts film begins with an unyielding Fifehanmi, wife of a rich politician who just got back from vacation with her daughter bearing
gifts to her husband, who in turn accused her of promiscuity and beating her mercilessly. The movie had all the acts in their best game.
Sheyi Ashekun (Fifehanmi) played the lead role and wrote the story; she played the abused wife of aspiring senator (Femi Adebayo) who shows undying love to his wife publicly but spend every minute beating her behind close door. She refuse to shown any form of rebellious act, shes been police around and she does everything he wants and still gets on air to campaign and promote her husband. A statement was made in this film.
Fifehanmi is not a romantic film as I thought but a domestic abuse and violence in disguise. Fifehanmi's a very intelligent girl who drowns in her own shady past believing she has to endure the psychological, physical and emotional terror from her husband all because of her past.
This movie was remarkably done well; Sheyi Ashekun took her time to not only write this out but took the part of a victimized wife a step farther into the world of domestic abuse and putting the message to adults and citizen. Femi Adebayo again
couldn't have done a better job as a hateful and abusive husband. I was glued to my sit from the opening scene to the end of the movie, unfortunately, I have nothing to say about the movie because the plot was not questionable.
On a personal note, I found myself walking in her shoes, telling and asking myself why would anyone want to go through this, everyone deserve to be loved. People should throwout the ideology an abusive marriage will take a happy turn if I just have that patience.
Overall, Fifehanmi is exactly what some ladies, parents and men need to see to wake up and take charge of their lives. No money and societal prestige is worth any type of misery.
