Lets Talk Review
My darling is a typical girlie-song; I didn't like the beginning, I am not that patient to watch one minute plus skit. So yes I skipped over it couple of times before watching the entire video.
I did continue watching when I saw Tiwa in the yellow dress (gorgeous bae) her demeanour when she saw her delicious dude was so real and being a sucker for love I watched the video again, again and again. A song about love, emotional inflected skit that makes you hold your heart just as Mavin first lady did is a win for me.
Its a song by an artist who knew what she wanted to do, how she would do it and eventually did it.
The story line approach used in My darling is sweet; if you are into that kinda thing (I am),it was really nice and men don't fancy such; expecting it to be fancied is like expecting 30 days in Atlanta to be filmed entirely in reverse just because the Ay Makun feels the movie so much. She met all expectation in this song with not so much of an exception; in no time all I saw to the end of the video is an extremely beautiful woman loving on her man...just like you and I would
Personally, I don't have much to say about this song, yes its sweet, nice to to watch but there's nothing superb about it; only because I miss the old Tiwa Savage the fierce and powerful presence not the arm stretched out Mariah Carey act I see now. My Darling is another wedding song and it a pretty good one with good location, costume and performance.
