Lets Talk Review
Kenny George
I am so use to watching movies with plots that has to do with disaster and curse, Ishanna had me squinting my eyes
and wondering maybe he/she did it. The movie centers around Funmi (Fathia Balogun) married to Tokunbo ( Muyiwa Ademola) and Jadesola (Kenny George);
Jadesola is based in UK but in Nigeria visiting her sister Funmi......lets just say Jadesola didn't come back with her luggage's alone, as calamity after calamity erupts in Funmi's home. Finding solution is what the movie is about.
      The approach taken in Ishanna is brilliant, the plot was twisted giving viewers a shocker towards the end of the movie. I
Fathia Balogun
love the modern twist to the movie, Jadesola played her role wonderfully well; her slow and deliberate act didn't give out anything, a worthy performance that makes you wonder if shes suffering from multiple personality disorder.A film that captures sadness in all the characters and yet points at something beneath the plot that isn't so revealing and that to me makes this a nice movie.
      The film was shot in UK and Nigeria showing the perfect work of editing, writing and performances bringing it to a wonderful thrilling stop. The movie introduces new face I haven't seen before and that's Jadesola (kenny George) and popular actors and actresses. The movie also made reference to the worst fears of Nigerians if not all Africans abroad (AfromePhobia....hahaha). As I mentioned earlier, the movie is characterized by three different stories, three different families all that became one. Funmi, Tokunbo and Jadesola's family on one side, their neighbor Dare and his family on the side and finally Morenikeji Alausa and her family

Muyiwa Ademola
Yinka Salau
    However, I can only point out two mistakes in this film, what the writer should never do is end a movie with another dilemma...thats just a no-no, its not an ongoing, current or real life situation. Instead, end the movie with the parties regretting their actions and move on to writing and releasing another movie. In addition to that, Tokunbo had an accident an said "he needs to go fix the headlamps"; during the flashback the head lamp was intact....Ooops!!. What the camera man should have done since the
car was perfectly fine was for him not to show the car head lamps at all.
      Overall, the script is good and the screenplay is nicer, the intertwined story from the beginning that were misplaced made absolute sense in the long run showed the writer has a deep understanding of concept, dialogues and ultimately what viewers love
