DJ Jimmy Jatt ft Banky W and Phyno

E to be

DJ Jimmy Jatts has been at the forefront of music before the two people he featured in this music video E to Beh knew what Afro hip hop is;but his collaboration with this two genius(es) is like having the top gangsters like Gambino, Genovese and Lucchese, you get nothing but fire works, possibly gun blazing or both for some of us (climatic). DJ Jimmy Jatts featured Banky W and Phyno who are kings in their crafts and they took addressing issue to the next level.

Reminicise ft Wizkid

Eleniyan

Reminisce ( Ibile) is a Nigerian song writer and popular amongst his peers as a rapper in the industry. Last year was when I heard about him and it been good business. I love his concept, content and music. He recently featured Wizkid in his brand new video tittle Eleniyan.

K9 ft Sound Sultan

Care About Us

photo Cr. Google Img
Noble Ezeh a.k.a K9 is known for his hit song Kokoma. He featured in numerous songs with popular artist like Olamide, Lami, Reminisce and now he featured legendary multi-talented artist Sound Sultan in this brand new music video tittled care about us.
I knew exactly what Care About Us  was all about before listening to the song or seeing the video. It is about Nigeria's economy situation and with his Afro beats and high life bass and sounds and the way the the video was delivered it sort of reminded me of Fela Anikulapo Kuti. K9 used his voice to somewhat say that; we are our own soldiers for the government care not how we survive.

Iyanya

Mr Oreo

photo cr. Google img

Born Iyanya Mbuk ( yep not just a stage name), he is best known (not anymore) for winning MTN Project Fame West Africa in 2008 but I started listening to Iyanya when I saw 'Kukere' but 'your waist' pretty much sealed the deal for me and the rest in history. Any O, after over twenty something singles, two albums, international recognition and currently on tour with his label (Made Men Music Group-Triple MG) and mates, he released the much hyped , anticipated video Mr Oreo. Mr Oreo is about a woman not interested in his money but his body (guilty) and let me just say this....DOPE!!!

Seantizzle ft. 9ice

Photo Cr. Google img.

Loke loke

Seantizzle has been busy cooking some pretty good stuff in his studio with his back to back video releases. He released Perfect Gentleman couple of weeks ago (if you miss it Click here) now he has a new video and I must say; he gets better with lyrics, concepts and quality of the video. Perfect Gentleman and loke loke are included in his new album "The Journey" which at first seemed weird but I am begining to understand why he came up with the odd tittle. With this new video; I say he has the finest of voices in music right now.
In his brand new music video loke loke (soaring higher and higher) featuring 9ice who is the first artist seantizzle collaborated with since his debut depicts seantizzle as a struggling artist who shuttles from one job to another to make ends meet.

Skales

Give It To Me

Photo cr. Google. img
Skales has been in the music industry for a while, he relocated to Lagos few years ago from Kaduna to step up his game and he did when he signed a record deal with his former label Empire Mates Entertainment. In no time, Skales was rocking and collaborating with top shot artist eLDee, Banky W and top talented gospel Jeremiah Gyang.

Olamide

Goons Mi

It has been a successful career (so far) for Olamide Adedeji popularly known as Olamide, he has his own label YBNL Nation with millions of devoted fans, especially with his labels viral dance step Shoki. The Lagos raised, hip hop recording artist who is known for rapping in Yoruba recently dropped his much hyped single Goons Mi weeks back and here is my two cents about the video.

SammyLee ft Iyanya

Your Desire

I closed my eyes, shut my laptop just to listen to and feel SammyLee your desire ft Iyanya's song and not once did I nod my head to the song (very odd), so do not expect some kind of deep dive into the Pros and Cons of this video. It's absolutely unfair for me or anyone to compare SammyLee's skills to other artist but, there's no way I will be listening to the thousands of rad music out there and not skip through your desire.  Not because he isn't talented but only because this song to me is a miss.

Timaya

Sanko

Since the release of his Bum Bum music video two years ago, it was certain Timaya was home. In fact if there was a walk of fame in African music artist, he would have his by now based on hits after hits. Not that the Port Harcourt born, dancehall artist has not been successful with his previous songs like Dem mama and plantain boy six years prior but personally, his 2012 video got him on my radar.

Runtown

Baby Answer

High on you with an international artist Laza Morgan was the first song I heard coming from Runtown,at the time I didn't really like the song....(still don't). He also featured Davido in his Gallardo song with over a million views on YouTube,he  recently dropped a new video Baby Answer which crossed over from 80s lyrics in music,scoping/toasting to incorporating the new school swag to complement the classic.

Tipsy Ft. Olamide

Soo' Le

Three years ago, after it became clear that performing in the native tongue is another way to go ( huge success) thanks to Lord of Ajasa. It was so uncertain if anybody else can do it,fast forward to now; we have Olamide, Phyno and now we have a female rapper TIPSY (power to women...hehe).
Months after the song was released the new rapper and her team released her new music video Soo'le,the video begins with a very promising journey with dancers dropping and twerking (hence ..soo'le).

Lord of Ajasa ft. Sloppy Kickx

Anyhow

Lord of Ajasa is no doubt the kingpin when it comes to rapping with dialects. The native of Akure brought rap dialect concept to the music industry in Nigeria (FYI….dope rapper). He has been MIA for years and he recently dropped a new music video Anyhow.

Let's Talk Review
Starting with an intro/skit was a brilliant idea,(considering is MIA stunt)which narrates how people talked about how life continued, what people where saying during his time off. The entire

2Shotz feat. Ruffcoin

In my Room

Back in the days, when fantastic and talented artist (Ruggedman, Mode9, Nomoreloss, c'mion, 2face, faze, blackface and host of others) lectures the citizens on politics, life and praises women through music. 2Shotz was one of those entertainer too,he brought funny and talent to the industry. If you were not listening to 2shotz single Delicious 8 years ago; its either you were in a coma or living under a rock. Delicious was one of the most incredible song ever made and personally I think it influenced few Afro hip pop generation of artist. Reasons best known to him, he disappeared from the music world until he released quite a number of songs in recent years. In my Room  is his latest song that proves, hes no doubt still an entertainer.

ADOL Feat. Yemi Alade

Sekere

Adol is one those artist that has that perfect beat but not a lot of followers. I think something is missing about his total artistry package....I cannot really point out what it is till I have the pleasure of seeing him. It might be his publicity team or self-confidence; but what I do know is that his vocals, lyrics and beats are at his best. This is an artist that the audience need to keep up with, my curiosity got the best of me when I first listened to his hit song couple of months back Je Kan Mo; his choice of genre fits perfectly to his beats and messages (or psychs) in the videos; his brand new song tittled Sekere feat. Yemi Alade certainly puts him on a pedestal amongst his peers.

Selebobo

Selfie

I was blown away when I first heard YOYO by Selebobo. I thought the video was fresh, clean and different. Today I finally watched his latest video Selfie from TMGcrew album 'The Evolution'. Its an absolute brilliant idea to name the video Selfie, the video and songs is so not what I expect (which was total disaster) but I judged him based on his last music video YOYO and took a chance; I just wanted to see what the young man was going to do now. Selfie was directed by Matt Max and it featured members of the Triple MG crew.
