Sanko
Since the release of his Bum
Bum music video two years ago, it was certain Timaya was home. In fact if there was a walk of
fame in African music artist, he would have his by now based on hits after hits. Not that the Port Harcourt born, dancehall artist has not been successful with his previous songs like Dem mama and plantain boy six years prior but personally, his 2012 video got him on my radar.
On
a personal note, I hated Ukwu music video not because it wasn’t an awesome
concept or hit but because of the chaos the video caused with the use of slang. You post a picture on Instagram Facebook…you will have people commenting UKWU and when I listened
to the lyrics I feel Timaya was talking about me ( he doesn't even know I exist) I didn’t
like the comments or being complimented with Ukwu, so I decided to hit the gym
and shed some hips. Anyways, When I get tired and want to
quit; what gets me going was listening to Ukwu.
Lets Talk Review
Timaya's songs are always about booty, big booty but his new video Sanko is far from it. which
is different, not unique but at the same time catchy. I have to give it to this
man, he comes up with a funny and viral tittle for songs, his beats and sounds
although not unique but dope, his consistency makes it exciting to
watch and hard to hate. As of right now,I am yet to see any of Timaya’s video that I do not gbadun (love).
Furthermore, his interaction with
his extra in Sanko clearly says one thing FUN! The ghetto concepts, the pimp looking man
all decked in yellow suit, the universities ladies, the kids on the streets and
crowd made it a totally exciting video to watch.Anyone can move to this song, with any dance steps especially the not so old galala, viral Shoki
and any dancehall moves you can think off; from bogle to tek weh yaself.
In
conclusion, I really don’t have anything to say about the video. It’s fun and everything
about this music and video is nothing but RAD!!!!
