Care About Us

Noble Ezeh a.k.a K9 is known for his hit song Kokoma. He featured in numerous songs with popular artist like Olamide, Lami, Reminisce and now he featured legendary multi-talented artist Sound Sultan in this brand new music video tittled care about us.
I knew exactly what Care About Us  was all about before listening to the song or seeing the video. It is about Nigeria's economy situation and with his Afro beats and high life bass and sounds and the way the the video was delivered it sort of reminded me of Fela Anikulapo Kuti. K9 used his voice to somewhat say that; we are our own soldiers for the government care not how we survive.

Let's Talk Review
The song voices out K9's frustration of most Nigerian, he directed his messages not just to the government but to each individual to check with in themselves; see if they have benefited from the government in any way. I am totally love everything about this video, the high life unique feeling I get from the song is out of this world. Something so small with huge message; a song that mirrors our everyday life
The song feels unique because it has been a while I heard an artist really talk about or address the economic situation through music:
Anytime wey i dey sing my song
my phone ring and they say make i pay for rotation
I tell them say i will rather sing for my ovation
Ghana must go na the only money thing they care about
All i want to say is that they don't really care about
The big big pocket for agbada is the only thing thay care about
20billionaire missing and we are asking for the where about
the next thing we hear is bomb bomb bomb
F. the kinsmen and F the citizen

The chorus however is from Michael Jackson Care About us only with naija swag and adding won ran wa (which means they don't care about us) but the powerful lyric and video is strong, very relate able and it makes absolute sense to educate the rest of the world. I also would have loved it, if they could talk about the missing Chibok girls (#bringbackourgirls).
Overall, this is one of my favorite song this week, its educational, relate able, inspiring and most of all I can dance to it.
If you are African, listen to the powerful song by K9 ft. Sound Sultan -Care About Us
