2Shotz feat. Ruffcoin

In my Room

      Back in the days, when fantastic and talented artist (Ruggedman, Mode9, Nomoreloss, c'mion, 2face, faze, blackface and host of others) lectures the citizens on politics, life and praises women through music. 2Shotz was one of those entertainer too,he brought funny and talent to the industry. If you were not listening to 2shotz single Delicious 8 years ago; its either you were in a coma or living under a rock. Delicious was one of the most incredible song ever made and personally I think it influenced few Afro hip pop generation of artist. Reasons best known to him, he disappeared from the music world until he released quite a number of songs in recent years. In my Room  is his latest song that proves, hes no doubt still an entertainer.

Lets Talk Review
      There is no point comparing 2Shotz to the leading artist of this age and time. The game has completely changed and becuase of this, I was fairly thrilled to listen to his songs; I think Wizkid's generation just took over my music box (brain) and his kinda of music was not just it for me.....anymore. When I think about it now, I wonder why?  .
      The production and quality of this video was right, it was waxed and lined with matured stunt from the smoking, the lyrics,the featured woman sashaying down the pool was classy;not ratchet and the very high stakes game. Clearly the concept was a mature move, The lyrics and video synced well, its all about glitz and glamour in the industry and this was no different; whats different however, is the concept.

      The featured artist -Ruffcoin got soul, he has that intriguing voice that will make you brag about his talent even when you  have no clue what he can do.. His voice kind of reminds me of blackstreet boys (all four in one), The hook and tempo of In my Room totally makes the song a am stuck in traffic and jamming to In my room kind of track.

      However, the hook is rather nice and different but I dont love it. The industry is vastly growing and entertainers need to step up their game. Personally, they have 3 choices

(a) come up with a very tight line and hook

b) come up with a club hit 

c.) Come up with a viral slang

In my room lacks all three but for music lovers like myself, the lyrics and hook is nice...period. I also don't support a message that makes a woman look like a piece of chip; entertainers must know that their fans(young and old) emulate them. Its bad enough that a 15 year old boy or girl want to have the best materials money can buy without doing it the right way. So no, I dont like the message in the song

      Overall, I personally think 2Shotz can do better, it was nice to watch but there is no wow factor in the video and song.
